Rational:

With Enterprise Support, you get high-quality engineers available 24 hours a day, tools and technology to automatically manage the health of your environment, consultative architectural guidance tailored to your applications and use-cases, and a dedicated Technical Account Manager (TAM) to coordinate access to proactive/preventative programs and AWS subject matter experts.


Impact:

You will get the following advanced features with the Enterprise plan.

  • Enhanced technical support

  • Billing and account management

  • Designated point of contact

  • Access to subject matter experts


Default Value:

While creating the AWS account it by default enables the Basic support plan.


Remediation:


Test Plan:

  1. Sign to AWS Management Console 

  2. Navigate to support service by clicking on the support on the right corner

  3. Go to Support Center

  4. Check the Support plan on the left navigation pane

    If you notice that the support plan is Basic, do follow the Implementation steps to change.

pre-requisites:

  1. You must sign in with root user credentials to change your support plan.


Implementation Steps:

  1. Sign to AWS Management Console 

  2. Navigate to support service by clicking on the support on the right corner

  3. Go to Support Center

  4. Click on Change next to your current support plan in the left navigation pane

  5. By clicking on the change Support Plans page will be open, select change plan

  6. Select the Enterprise plan
  7. Before activating the Enterprise support plan, amazon would like to get more information about your needs. To submit your response about needs click on the contact us link given.


Backout plan:

To revoke the changes or to switch the support plan do follow steps1-5 in the Implementation steps and step-6 select the plan you want to switch.
