Description

Ensure the administrator, technical, and billing contacts for the OVHcloud account and its services point to current, monitored people or team mailboxes. These contacts receive security notices, abuse reports, expiry warnings, and service incident messages.

Rationale

If contacts belong to people who have left or to unmonitored mailboxes, important messages such as abuse reports, security incidents, renewal warnings, and maintenance notices are missed. This can lead to service suspension, unexpected expiry, or slow response to security problems.

Impact

  • Security and service notices reach the right people

  • Reduces the risk of missed renewals or abuse reports

  • Changing contacts requires the new contact to accept the change

Default Value

By default, all contacts are set to the account owner who created the service.

Pre-Requisites

  • Access to the OVHcloud account owner login

  • The OVHcloud ID (NIC handle) of each new contact
